This was a fabulous instruction as retained Bristol Buying Agents to source and secure a substantial Clifton townhouse for clients relocating from the South East. The clients knew Bristol having spent time here at University and wanted the elegance of a period (preferably Georgian) townhouse that could equally pivot to accommodate their individual needs internally. Externally it needed to tick the architecture box, provide off-street parking, a garden for their dogs and most importantly a high degree of privacy.
We saw many properties over the search timeframe – some on-market and some off-market. In the end we were able to secure a Georgian Grade II Listed townhouse which was made available on-line and therefore created a lot of interest from other buyers.
By acting quickly and decisively we were able to secure the house for our clients, take the property off the market and see it through to a successful Exchange. In the first instance we created an in-depth video of the house which prompted the travel down from London and their first viewing in person.
In addition, we were also able to introduce the clients to numerous local professionals such as surveyors, builders and project managers. The house is to undergo substantial works to accommodate our clients needs and they have instructed a well respected team introduced discreetly by us on their behalf.
We were also able to help source removal firms and medium term storage.
As an aside, the clients have joked just how many times they have watched the video we sent many weeks previously, even after they had seen the house several times. It provided a valuable tool for them as an aide memoir when they were deciding what to bring and what not to bring from their previous home.
